There are several lifestyle modifications that may help reduce bloating in the stomach: 1. Eat smaller, more frequent meals: Instead of eating three large meals a day, try eating smaller meals more frequently. This can help prevent overeating and reduce the amount of food in your stomach at one time, which may help with bloating. 2. Avoid trigger foods: Certain foods and drinks can contribute to bloating, so it's important to identify and avoid those that affect you personally. Common culprits include carbonated beverages, beans, lentils, broccoli, cabbage, onions, garlic, and high-fat foods. 3. Drink plenty of water: Staying hydrated can help prevent bloating by promoting proper digestion and preventing constipation. Aim to drink at least eight glasses of water per day. 4. Reduce or avoid high-sodium foods: Excessive intake of sodium can cause water retention, leading to bloating. Cut back on processed and packaged foods, as they tend to be high in sodium, and try seasoning your food with herbs and spices instead of salt. 5. Chew food thoroughly: Properly chewing your food helps to break it down more easily, making digestion more efficient and reducing the likelihood of bloating. Take your time and eat slowly. 6. Be mindful of food intolerances: Some people may have difficulty digesting certain foods, such as lactose or gluten. If you suspect you have a food intolerance, consider eliminating the suspected food for a period of time to see if your symptoms improve. 7. Get regular exercise: Regular physical activity can help stimulate digestion and relieve bloating. Try to engage in activities that you enjoy, such as walking, swimming, or yoga, for at least 30 minutes a day. 8. Manage stress: Stress can have a negative impact on digestion, leading to bloating and other digestive issues. Finding healthy ways to manage stress, such as practicing mindfulness, deep breathing exercises, or engaging in relaxation techniques, can help reduce bloating. 9. Avoid chewing gum or drinking through a straw: Chewing gum or drinking through a straw can cause you to swallow air, leading to bloating and gas. Try to avoid these habits if you're prone to bloating. For the alleviation of bloating, it is recommended to consume 3 teaspoons of Aristozyme Syrup every 8 hours. Regards, Dr U N Sahoo
