Bleeding from the gums is a sign of gum inflammation and it is due to deposits like plaque and calculus. Plaque is the soft deposit that can be removed by tooth brushing but calculus needs professional cleaning of the teeth by procedure called as scaling so that the gum health can be restored back to normal.
Delaying the treatment can cause the damage to proceed further.
