The Dentist has placed a Lingual Bonded Retainer on both upper and lower. Due to improper oral hygiene and difficult to clean in that region their might be few food deposits which gradually tend to cause swollen gums and bleeding. It’s better to brush twice a day and use mouthwash. Rinse your mouth after having food. You can take Metrogyl 400mg twice a day for 3 days it can help to treat your gum infection.
Next Steps
Consult your Dentist post lockdown
Health Tips
Brush twice, use mouth wash, Rinse your mouth after having food.

The bleeding may be because of inflammation of your gums. You need to brush your teeth twice a day compulsorily, even if your gums bleed. You can also use Chlorhexidine 2.0% mouthwash twice a day.
Next Steps
It will be best if you send me photos of your teeth and gums from where they bleed for a sure shot solution to your problem.
Health Tips
You should get a proper checkup done once the lockdown is retrieved.

Hello, The supports are known as fixed retainers. It’s very important to maintain hygiene with such retainers, otherwise due to frequent deposits, swelling occurs in the gums which leads to bleeding gums. As right now lockdown is there I’ll advise a few things that you can do at home. 1.) Rinse with lukewarm water with a pinch of salt (2-3 times/day for next 5days. 2.) Use any Chlorhexidine mouthwash (Rinse 2-3 times/day for next 5 days) 3.) Use Dentakind gel to massage your gums (2 times/day for next 5days) For any further doubts you can consult me online.
Next Steps
Use the following things till lockdown. Get the scaling done after lockdown
Health Tips
Maintain good oral hygiene.

Your orthodontist has put a Bonded Retainer on your upper and lower back teeth . This is a way to prevent relapse and a permanent solution for many cases like spacing between teeth to prevent relapse after braces as if the individual does not wear the retainers the gaps can come again . Many a-times this option is used for retention and it is the orthodontists choice what he/she chooses to place after active braces removal . Now when we put permanent retention ( as done in your case ) plaque and calculus deposits always always occur . Hence it is advised to get scaling done after every 6 months . For you i would advise trying to see if there are pale yellow or brown deposits in the backside of your upper teeth . If yes then this is the reason of bleeding gums and you need to do luke warm water rinses with salt 4-5 times a day for 7 days and apply TanX solution in the area with the help of a earbud . Apply this 3 times a day and do not eat or drink atleast half hour after it . Another reason of bleeding could be if the wire is impinging somewhere on your gums . For that also do the same as above and if you find the place where it is impinging just place a bit of chewing gum to for a barrier between your gum and the wire. This you have change frequently .
Next Steps
Do the above immediately visit dentist after lockdown get the wire removed if required but do get retainers made for night time to prevent any chance of relapse .
Health Tips
After removal of braces , retainer wear is a must and one must taper the retainer wear down slowly like full time wear then night time wear then alternate day wear then 2 times a week wear and then completely stop it .

Evn though ortho treatment had been finished for u .... the back support retainers which are a fixed type should be maintained well with a regular check ups and proper oral Hygiene... like brushing back side of tooth gently...and usage of mouth wash... for some people the back wire may get departed from tooth or it may break/ cut resulting in food lodgements in those areas resulting in swelling and bleeding.. this can be corrected by a dentist donot worry
Next Steps
Don’t panic... brush properly... use mouth wash
Health Tips
Donot check the bleeding points with hand as it may induce bleeding again....use salt water to gargle... donot eat sticky foods which may go into that areas... use gum astringent such as stolin-r to apply over the areas for 3 times with a freashly cleaned for finger and leave it like that for 15 min and wash off...
