Black stools can be due to food or alcohol (including red wine) if taken in excess, and this is often harmless if temporary. Iron supplements, certain foods, or medicines can also cause dark stools. If black stools persist or any symptoms appear, consult a doctor and consider CBC + stool occult blood test
If it resolves within a day or two and no symptoms develop, it is usually not serious.

Black stools is usually due to motion mixed with digested blood.
So have physical examination at your doctor including digital rectal examination.
If it is blood in the motion, the doctor will tell you what you need to do
(Bloods tests- CBP, clotting, Liver and kidney function tests; Endoscopy - Gastroscopy ; Scan- Ultrasound abdomen; Treatment - either Ompeorazole or Omeprazole with additional treatments if it is a liver related issue ).
All the best.
