Black spot on upper left hard palate
6 months back I had some sensation in central incisor and while checking I noticed black spot on upper hard palate attached to central incisor and lateral incisor only left side. Sensitivity in that particular tooth comes and go sometime. Spot usually don't have any symptom. Recently had a red spot with pain(not sore) at the side of that black spot. Is that blackish spot and sensation related? Is it something cancerous?

It's usually harmless. Caused due to 1)Physiologic pigmentation, Normal in individuals with darker skin tones 2)Melanin pigmentation from smoking. Reversible if smoking stops. No treatment needed.

The black spot could be harmless, like natural pigmentation or minor trauma, but since you're feeling sensitivity and now have pain with a red spot, it's best to get a clinical examination and an X-ray. It may be related to a tooth infection or something else.its imp to  get it checked by your nearby dentist!

Hi, The picture shared is not clear. From the little seen, it is probably pigmentation of the gums. No need to worry. Better to visit a dentist for a proper clinical examination.
