Hi, I have belly button discharge from last 3 weeks. Earlier I can see brown crust on belly button but from last 1 week it's minor yellow discharge inside belly button. I also went through antibiotics for 8 days and full abdomen ultrasound which was normal.

What antibiotics you have taken? Keep the part clean and dry, apply betadine ointment 3 times/day. Wear loose cotton clothes,  till it heals.

Please consult a General Surgeon in your area for a physical examination. It could be a remnant of a duct known as Vitello intestinal duct. That is a very rare disorder, but since your symptoms are persisting in spite of adequate treatment, the rare things also have to be considered.

To help with belly button discharge, maintain good hygiene, wear loose clothing, and consider avoiding tight or synthetic clothing that can irritate the area.

Hi, It's quite normal to have a little bit of discharge from there. However if it's persistent or if you have any pain/fever then it could be local infection Did you have any skin rash or pimple before the discharge Did you injure yourself by any chance? One might not expect much in a USG. If it's persistent discharge what we need to do is a CT to see if there is a fistula or a deep seated infection Consult when required

Discharge through the Belly Button (Navel) Discharge from the belly button can be a sign of an underlying issue. Here's what you need to know: Possible Causes 1. *Infection*: Bacterial or fungal infections can cause discharge, redness, and swelling. 2. *Cysts or abscesses*: Fluid-filled sacs or pockets of pus can form in the navel area. 3. *Umbilical granuloma*: A small growth that can form on the navel, causing discharge. 4. *Poor hygiene*: Not keeping the navel area clean can lead to discharge and infection. Symptoms 1. *Discharge*: Yellow or greenish fluid leaking from the belly button. 2. *Odor*: Foul or unpleasant smell from the navel area. 3. *Redness and swelling*: Inflammation and swelling around the belly button. 4. *Pain*: Discomfort or tenderness in the navel area. Treatment 1. *Keep the area clean*: Gently clean the navel area with soap and water. 2. *Apply antibiotic ointment*: Topical antibiotics can help clear up infections. 3. *Seek medical attention*: If symptoms persist or worsen, consult a healthcare professional for further evaluation and treatment. When to Seek Medical Attention 1. *Increasing pain*: Pain that worsens over time. 2. *Fever*: Temperature above 100.4°F (38°C). 3. *Redness and swelling*: Increasing redness and swelling around the belly button. 4. *Foul-smelling discharge*: Discharge with a strong, unpleasant odor.
