Severe back pain associated with shooting pain in the legs ( radicular pain ) and tingling /numbness at your age is indicative of a slip disc or a prolapsed disc. The good news is , over 80 percent recover naturally in a few weeks. Very few require surgical intervention.
Next Steps
Get an MRI of the lumbar spine. Also X-rays of the lumbar spine and meet a spine specialist.
Health Tips

Hello there,,,well there are many causes for back pain and tingling in the legs...like you mentioned kidney stones which causes back ache...however tingling in leg is not caused by stones... Problem certainly seems to be in lower back vertebras/lumbar spine. Have u taken xrayz of lower back A proper analysis is necessary to resort back for condition specific rehabilition programme including nutrition and weight loss advice. Regards.
