Hi - baby sleeping for 8-10hrs at night without demanding for feeds. Is that ok and normal ?
she does wake up in the middle of these 8hrs but she doesn’t ask for a feed. Not crying, just looking around making a few noises and going back to sleep. So I did not feed.
This did happen for 2 nights from 1am to around 9am.
I waited to feed her around 6am 7am etc but she was fast asleep. She only finally woke up at 9am
Pls advise

Age needs to be mentioned for proper advise
Assuming her to be a young infant, such prolonged period of fasting is not recommended
Child should be fed frequently
Try to wake up the baby and offer breastfeed if there has been a significant gap especially at nighttime and if there is an adequate weight gain along with good urine output, there shouldn’t be any real concerns. Visit the nearest pediatrician for further evaluation
