Increased urination in 3.5 month old child first we should consider and rule out any urinarytract infection there should be cry throughout the stream of urine or sometimes may be asymptomatic so cue ( complete urine examination is must)
Then if the baby weight shows changes like loss of weight should be considered seriously
Another problem here is dehydration bcoz of frequent urination so that should also be considered
Next Steps
Consult pediatrician and clarify the history first and then followup can be probable

1. Frequent urination:
• If the baby is exclusively breastfed/formula-fed, frequent wet diapers (even 10–15/day) is a good sign of hydration and kidney function.
• “30 times” may be an overestimate, or it may include small dribbles.
• As long as urine is pale and baby is feeding well, it’s not concerning.
2. Temperature around 97°F:
• Normal axillary (underarm) temperature in babies is between 97°F–99°F (36.1°C–37.2°C).
• If the baby is active, feeding, gaining weight — this temperature is perfectly fine.
• Slight variation can occur depending on method (oral/axillary/rectal) and time of day.
3. 1 kg weight gain in 1 month:
• Excellent weight gain. At 3–4 months, a baby gaining ~20–30 g/day (approx. 600–900 g/month) is expected.
• 1 kg is more than adequate and indicates good feeding and growth.
30 times a day pee is not normal - what was her birth weight and present weight? The temperature is normal - dont worry - keep her warm in the rainy season.
You have to consult a paediatrician for that so you can have a detailed diagnosis
Frequent Peeing (>30 times/day) — Is it Normal?
Yes — for a breastfed baby, frequent urination is usually normal, especially if:
• Urine is light-colored or pale yellow
• No bad odor or cry while urinating
• No signs of dehydration (like dry lips or sunken eyes)
Next Steps
Conclusion:
• Peeing a lot? → Normal
• Temp 97°F? → Normal
• Weight gain? → Excellent
• Nose rubbing? → Common baby behavior
No signs of concern here — your baby seems healthy and well-developed. Keep up with regular growth monitoring and vaccinations.
A concern for polyuria is there as per your post. You can go for urine tests involving urine specific gravity and urinary osmolality. Additionally a routine urine test will show presence of sugar or infection
A normal body temperature and a fantastic weight gain go against Diabetes Insipidus as well as Diabetes mellitus.
So go for a urine check as above to settle down any concerns, it’s non invasive and simple test.
