Baby chokes
Hello doc
While giving vit d3 drops my 1month old baby chokes because he starts crying and it hits his airway and turned blue quik cpr has saved his life. but now i am afraid how to give medicine to avoid this kind of situation.please help

If you tried feeding with wati spoon and if baby taking well. then express milk and add vit d3 in milk and give till u r confident to give direcy..rest feeds should be direct breast feed

Hello,drops are less likely to cause choking ..if you give it next time ,give it in presence of your paedeatrian .and then you can what is the proper way of giving them ..give 0.5 ml only ,slowly and baby’s head and shoulders should be supported ,baby should not be lying down
