Vit d3 drops 800 IU
Hi , Have given vit d3 1 ml of 800 IU by mistakely to my new born for 4 to 5 days does anything will happen , please suggeat how many days do I need to pause and start back with 0.5 ml of 800 IU, my baby is just 8 days old .

The dose of vit D to be given is 400 IU daily. As you have given 800IU you can pause for 4-5 days and restart again. Check the formulation while you are giving. The dose you have given is unlikely to cause any problem so you need not worry but monitor if your baby is not taking feeds well, vomiting, lethargic.
