Hi.. Artificial teeth has no fixed expiry. It can last for many yrs. I have seen artificial teeth in patients life for more than 15 yrs... But it always depends on many factors like your restored natural tooth structure after taking out decay...,, cleaning and eating habits etc..     When you need treatment it's better to go for best treatment option which can give you better treatment life.

If you are doing Rootcanal treatment you have to go for crown to increase the life time of your tooth. Once your crown is fixed and if all factors are good then it is permanent.
