Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), such as Nexito, are commonly used to treat anxiety and panic disorders. They work by increasing the level of serotonin in the brain, which can help to reduce anxiety symptoms. SSRIs are typically used as a long-term treatment option and are not usually taken on an as-needed basis. Benzodiazepines, on the other hand, are a class of medication that are often used to treat acute anxiety and panic symptoms. They work by enhancing the activity of a neurotransmitter called gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which can help to reduce anxiety symptoms quickly. However, benzodiazepines are typically not recommended for long-term use due to the risk of dependence and other side effects. In your situation, where you experience anxiety and panic only when you go outside of your home, it may be helpful to discuss with a healthcare professional the option of taking a benzodiazepine on an as-needed basis when you go out. However, it's important to note that benzodiazepines should be used cautiously and under the supervision of a healthcare professional. They may also not be the best long-term solution for anxiety and panic disorders. In general, the choice between an SSRI and a benzodiazepine will depend on your individual needs and medical history. It's important to discuss these options with a healthcare professional who can help you determine the best course of treatment for your specific situation.

Hi. You seem to have agoraphobia. Benzodiazepines are meant to be used for short term or sos basis as they have addiction potential. Long term treatment is ssri along with meditation, deep breathing exercises and relaxation techniques.
Next Steps
You must consult a psychiatrist for detailed evaluation and treatment plan.

Hi there, thanks for your message. From what you have written here, it sounds like you may have something called agoraphobia- fear of open or public places. Anxiety and panic only sets in under specific situations, and in your case outside. This is a subtype of anxiety disorders. Long term solution to phobic anxiety is SSRIs as they correct the cause for your symptoms and are non addictive; bezodiazepines are short term, symptom oriented and have addictive potential in the longer run.
Next Steps
Pls consult a professional and seek help
Health Tips
Try lifestyle measures like yoga and meditation in addition to medications

Hi! The aforementioned symptoms are suggestive  of specific anxiety disorder and it can be treated meticulously by taking the optimal medications. Benzodiazepines are not the first line of drugs and are prescribed for temporarily relief of symptoms as Ssri takes minimum of two weeks time to show it's therapeutic action. It's better to take medicines as advised by your doctor ,however, benzodiazepines can be taken on Sos basis apart from regular treatment course.
