I am having anxiety attacks and tend to forget basic things frequently. Unsure if I need to see a psychiatrist or someone else but the forgetfulness is increasing and that's the main concern I am facing

Good morning.
I really appreciate ur concern & effort to share
condition with us . I wud like to comment over
ur symptoms.
I will illustrate some common Anxiety symptoms
symptoms that u cud correlate with ur
condition these are
* Chest pain , heaviness of chest
* Palpitations.
* Tremor
* Sweating
* GI upset( stomach ache ,acidity, constipation
or diarrhoea, butterfly sensation in stomach)
* Weakness in body or leg
* Feeling loss of sensation in any part of body.
* Blurring of vision
* Decreased concentration resulting in forgot
fullness
* Congestion of nose
* Feeling loss of control over life.
* Fear of dying
* Depersonalization or derealization.

These all above symptoms are present or coexist
in numerous disorders ,as Anxiety disorders are
futher classified in different class of Anxiety
disorders like Generalizied anxiety disorder ,
panic attack disorder, etc.
Also anxiety sypmtoms are also present in other
psychiatric illness like mood disorder ,OCD,
somatoform and many more.
Now ,I believe you understood that ,
Diagnosing ur condition and categorisation of
ur condition and differentiating ur condtition
with other psychiatric illness is not easy ,
appropriate and adequate depending upon ur
given short description.
Anxiety symptoms must be treated as soon
as possible ,bcoz in long term they start
disturbing ur other body systems and cause
problems like
* Hypertension
* Thyroid dysfunction
* Diabetes
* Mylagia
* chronic fatigue syndrome
* Irritable bowel syndrome
* Persistent pain syndrome
* Migraine or tension headache
* Refractory error in eyes
* Cognitive dysfunction
* Sleep disorders
* Gastritis
* Prematurely Greying and falling of hair.
* Menstrual cycle disturbance
* Sexual dysfunction
* Mood disorders
* Substance abuse
* And many more.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychiatrist or Neuropsychiatrist of ur
choice , discuss ur fear, stress , every details of
ur life. Plan a management that may involve
therapies or Medicines or both .
Health Tips
* Do meditation for minimum of 20 mins daily in
morning.
* Take a balanced sleep of 7 to 8 hrs.
* Take a balanced diet.
* Take care.
