Antibiotic caused diarrhoea
My mother has been prescribed Augmentin Duo, Defcort 6 and Potrate MB6 for severe stomach pain from hospital where she had to be admitted, after her release. Though initially at the start of the medication, she had severe constipation, we gave her Softovac for 1-2 days, but now for the last 2-3 days she is having diarrhoea. Can we add a probiotic like vizylac along with her medications, and for what dosage? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Augmentin itself may be a cause for diarrhoea. If you stop that medicine she will become all right.
Probiotic should be given.

U can add vizylac with flagyl...as u also said daflazacort is used..so it should be evaluated well regarding steroid use...u should consult for this
