We raise our voice when we assume that the other person is not paying heed to how we feel about something, or not giving us attention that we need. However when we do react to this belief, it comes out with rage and high pitch that disturbs the other and activates their defence system- your husband being concerned about lowering the process because of the neighbors.
Next Steps
I advise you to take a session with a psychologist to understand and manage the situation. :)

Hi,
Life rarely goes as expected. When faced with an obstacleor stress, we can adapt or not. In the moment, it’s not necessarily a conscious choice.
You might do something you don’t necessarily want to do or find a way to work around it. You’re adjusting to circumstances. Sometimes these behaviours might not right, but gives temporary relief, but harmful in long term, such behaviour is called Maladaptive behaviour. You should replace maladaptive behaviors more productive ones. Otherwise, they can lead to emotional, social, and health problems. If things are spiraling out of control, a qualified therapist can help you find better ways to react to life’s challenges.
