Swollen, pain, throbbing, inflamed, warm to touch, near the anus. Can it be healed without surgery? I have had this problem way back in 2016 the doctor gave me oral medication and some ointments and the day he gave me I started feeling alright and the swollen and pain subsided and I was feeling ok within a week or so, I didn't go surgery. Is this anal abscess?

Antibiotics may help .But recurring perianal abscess could lead to complications like sinus or fistula in the later stages , especially if the abscess is not healing.Visit a surgeon in your area for clinical examination and further action
