Let me be honest with you. Low energy, brain fog, confusion, and constant tiredness are very common when Iron, Vitamin D, and Vitamin B12 levels are low, especially on a vegan diet. Additionally, in a plant-based lifestyle, maintaining adequate levels of B12, Vitamin D, and Iron can be quite challenging because natural food sources are limited and the bioavailability of some nutrients is lower in our body. However, with the right food choices in day to day life, you can still improve your nutrient status. Please follow the given tips: For Iron (to fight fatigue and weakness): Include foods such as: Soaked black raisins, dates, figs, Green leafy vegetables (Spinach, mint, Methi), beetroot, carrot, broccoli, Pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, jaggery. Small tip: Always pair iron-rich foods with Vitamin C to increase the absorption. For example: Add lemon, amla, orange to your meals. Avoid tea/coffee 1 hour before & after meals. Cooking in iron utensils helps to increase iron content. For Vitamin B12 (for brain and mental clarity): Plant foods do not naturally provide sufficient B12. Therefore, include: Fortified plant milk (soy, almond, oat) Include fermented foods (curd, kefir) to support absorption. Excess Antacids & Long- term PPIs silently deplete B12, so try to avoid them in regular uses. A doctor-prescribed Vitamin B12 supplement (essential for vegans). For Vitamin D (for energy, mood, and immunity): Sun exposure for 15–20 minutes daily on the face and arms before 11am (without sunscreen). Fortified plant milk. Sun-exposed mushrooms. Vitamin D supplements if levels are low, as advised by your doctor. One more important truth as you are already experiencing low energy and mental fog, get your blood levels of Iron, Vitamin B12, and Vitamin D checked. Once we know your levels, we can correct them properly, and you will gradually start feeling like yourself again. Your body is not lazy. It is simply asking for the nutrients it needs.

Maintaining adequate iron, vitamin B12, and vitamin D on a vegan diet bacomes a little difficult, as these nutrients are either absent or poorly absorbed from plant foods. You can include these foods to improve your nutrient intake: - Plant-based iron (non-heme iron) has lower absorption. Include iron-rich foods daily such as green leafy vegetables, legumes, lentils, beans, millets, seeds, and dried fruits. - Pair iron-rich meals with vitamin C sources (citrus fruits, amla, bell peppers) to significantly improve absorption. Avoid tea or coffee within 1 hour of meals, as they inhibit iron absorption. - Vitamin B12 is not naturally available in vegan foods. Rely on fortified foods such as fortified plant milks, nutritional yeast, breakfast cereals, or fortified soy products. Regular monitoring is essential, as dietary intake alone may still be insufficient. - Vitamin D deficiency is common in vegans. Aim for daily sun exposure (20–30 minutes on arms and face). Include fortified plant milks and cereals, and mushrooms exposed to sunlight.

Better to go for a complete scientific  analysis and go accordingly. In vegan diet it's difficult to balance these nutrients.  But by checking the heal level of the body we can add things that is exactly required by the body

To combat low energy, lethargy and brain fog on vegan diet , focus on fortified foods , pair iron rich plant foods ( legumes, leafy greens, whole grains, seeds ) with vitamin C to boost absorption, consider daily B12 /D supplements, use nutritional yeast , limit tea coffee with and get sunlight for vitamin D but check blood tests to confirm deficiency and guide supplementation
