Sever back pain

2019-01-07 07:35:20
Hi, For the last 3 months, I've been suffering from sever back pain. I had an MRI recently and found the L4L5 & L5S1 disks were bulging, and have pinched the left nerve root, causing occasional lack of sensation in the left leg if I sit for too long. I'm also unable to lift my left leg without bending the knee, this causes unbearable pain. Physiotherapy for the last 2 months has not had any impact since the pain is exactly the same, if not more occasionally. Please advise.

Take frequent rest between your work. Consult physiotherapist for assessment.   Traction will reduce the nerve impingement .

Once there are neurological symptoms it’s a good idea to consult few neurologist to discuss your options. Switch your Physiotherapist and continue therapy. Try not to sit for more than 30 min in chair take small walks, increase your physical activity. I will suggest to work towards getting weight within normal values to reduce the stress from your back muscles.
