According to your complaints , give good support to your upper back while working, avoid stooped posture, give 10 - 15 mins of hot water fermentation to the strained muscles and do upper back stretching exercises 1)cat- cow stretch 2) keep your both hands back of the head with interlaced fingers and pull your elbow back as much as possible 3) sit on the floor and straighten your legs and try to reach your knees with head (as much as possible, out of pain minimal pain range) 4) fold your hand behind your back with elbows straight then protract and retract your shoulders and each for 10 - 15 sec. Do all the exercises 10 repetitions each morning and evening. Please avoid the exercise which aggrevates your pain.
Next Steps
After doing these if your pain still aggrevates please do consult and orthopedician or a physiotherapist.

Though with the presented complaints, it looks like a case of muscle spasm. But unfortunately without proper consultation it would be not possible to be sure of that. Please consult a physiotherapist for this.
Next Steps
Needs consultation
Health Tips
Don't overwork your shoulder and neck muscles. It would increase the pain. Try cold pack application instead of hot.

Your pain could be due to neck muscle spasm. You should give hot water fomentation for 10-15 minutes twice a day. You can use volini gel or spray provided you are not allergic. You should do neck stretching and strengthening exercises with proper guidance.
Next Steps
If the pain persist or aggrevates you should consult a Physiotherapist in person for complete assessment and treatment.

Proper assessment needed, visit nearby physiotherapy clinic for proper assessment and treatment, due to improper posture the pain is increasing. If after waking from the bed in the morning the pain is severe then need to change pillow if not other issues.
