You are absolutely correct. Classical homeopathic medicines are ideally meant to dissolve directly on the tongue for sublingual absorption, and one should avoid eating or drinking, including water, for 30 minutes before and after.
Bakson Aller Aid is a Bio-combination tablet (a combination of tissue salts like Ferrum Phos 3x, Nat Mur 3x, Kali Mur 3x etc). These tablets are larger and chalky in nature.
For this reason, some doctors advise taking it with a small sip of lukewarm water:
1. To help the large tablet dissolve quickly after chewing.
2. Or to dissolve 1 tablet in a teaspoon of lukewarm water to avoid touching it with hands and to ensure proper dosing.
It is not meant to be swallowed like an allopathy tablet with a full glass of water. The ideal method is to chew the tablet and let it dissolve on a clean tongue. If needed, you can take a very small sip of lukewarm water afterwards.
Next Steps
You can follow your doctor's advice. If in doubt, confirm whether he wants you to dissolve the tablet IN water or take water AFTER it dissolves on the tongue.
Please do not self-medication. Take this only as advised by your homoeopathic doctor.
