Experiencing some redness and coarseness in the upper part of mouth. Spicy foods are causing some burning sensation and the touch feels like there are few small pimply structures. Attaching pic for reference. Please suggest.

Hello, I am Dr. Romain Rajan, General Physician. I understand your concern. From your description and the photo, the redness and small raised areas on the palate (roof of mouth) with burning on spicy foods are most likely due to inflammation of the oral mucosa. Common causes include: Mild stomatitis / irritation from spicy or hot foods. Allergic or irritant reaction (to toothpaste, mouthwash, tobacco, alcohol, etc.). Nutritional deficiencies (Vitamin B-complex, iron). Less commonly, oral thrush (fungal infection). General advice: Avoid very spicy, hot, or acidic foods for a few days. Drink plenty of water and keep good oral hygiene. Do warm saline gargles twice daily. Take a multivitamin (especially B-complex) if not already on one. Apply soothing oral gel (like benzocaine or lignocaine jelly) if burning is bothersome. When to see a doctor: If the redness/bumps do not improve within 7–10 days. If you develop white patches, ulcers, bleeding, or severe pain. If you have associated fever or difficulty swallowing. In most cases, this is minor irritation and should settle with care. If persistent, please consult a dentist or ENT specialist for proper evaluation. Best regards, Dr. Romain Rajan General Physician

There's mild congestion (redness), it could be because of irritation from spicy or hot food but sometimes it could be an early sign of infection ( since there's no cough, sore throat or fever it's unlikely to be an infection)
Next Steps
Rinse with betadine mouth wash 2-3 times a day.Use zytee gel to numb the pain. It usually resolves within a week. If redness n burning sensation persists beyond a week, consult an ENT specialist.
Health Tips
for now avoid hot and spicy food and also smoking and alcohol.

I need a more detailed history about diet and lifestyle. It could be either due to your lifestyle and diet or it can also be a result of some ill gut health like acid reflux or GERD. You are also consuming thyrox 150 so can't suggest you exact treatment with incomplete history better consult your nearest physician.
Next Steps
Avoid spicy food and alcohol . Have a good breakfast ( sometimes acid reflux occurs when you are on an empty stomach for a long time)
