Hello, in most cases, Dentist advises crown for RCT treated toot. in some cases, its not needed, you are going for scaling, and scaling will not damage that tooth. plus you can get that tooth checked if it needs crown or not.

Scaling will not harm ur rct treated teeth, as u already know that rct treated tooth becomes weak or brittle, it is better to get a crown on that teeth.

Root canal treated tooth needs to be capped.  cos if it fractures while eating & God forbid if fractures below the guild level then you will have to extract that tooth.  You are lucky that nothing has gone wrong with it so far.  While scaling will not hamper your root canal treated tooth in any which way.  please visit your dentist & get scaling done(ideally twice a year) & get the tooth capped.

Frankly speaking every root canal treated tooth cap is mandatory. Because once root canal treatment done tooth becomes brittle and there are chances of chipping off of tooth if you eat anything hard. Good for eleven years you didnt had any problem. Scaling nothing to worry you can go a head. But try to fix a cap asap since it is a molar amount of forces are more.

Hello ,do not worry due to scaling the tooth will not fracture..but if you leave rct treated tooth for long without capping it can fracture any time due to chewing forces falling on it..if you have got rct done to save your teeth you should get it capped to increase the longevity of the tooth..take care..

You can go for scaling of your teeth as it is must at least twice a year. It will not harm  the rct treated tooth. But we suggest you to put a cap (crown) on it as the rct treated tooth becomes brittle and may fracture anytime.

You can go for scaling of teeth, in fact it's mandatory to have regular cleaning of teeth at least once in a year though we advise six month followup. If crown margins of your root canal treated teeth are intact then there is no danger of any micro damage to tooth.  Your dentist will examine it before scaling of that tooth. Yes tooth become weak after rct,  and to protect it we place crown on top of tooth. Just have check up with your dentist and go for cleaning of teeth.
