Rapid weight gain

2025-02-03 08:06:31
I have started working in hospital 6 months ago where I have alternate 12 hours day and night shift. For past 1 year I have been noticing constant weight gain. I don't regularly go to gym and have a moderately balanced diet with processed food as well. I started wearing a ring in sep that stopped fitting me around November. Is this a weight gain or fluid retention. I have a family history of diabetes and high BP as well

Given your family history of BP and sugar issues, it’s crucial to regularly monitor both. Weight gain can be due to hormonal imbalances or anemia, so it's important to check those as well. I recommend contacting Avelife Wellness Centre for further support. Let me know if you need any more guidance!
Health Tips
For now, try drinking fennel seed water with cinnamon alternately, and have ginger tea regularly.

Hi Good afternoon! The night shift could have messed up your circadian rhythm and eating habits. It’s good to do a basic blood test for TSH, HbA1C, Vitamin D, B12 and CBC. This will shed some light to understand if there’s any underlying issue.
