Firstly, as you said your father's BP reading are mostly the same of 150/90, I suggest for one week, monitor and record his BP reading atleast 2 to 3 times a day, make sure you do it using correct method to avoid unreliable values, then report them to a general physician or practioner.
Secondly, as he is diabetic and also dyslipidemic, is he taking regular medication for it? If yes, make sure to have his blood
sugar and
Cholestrol levels monitored every 3 months, if not on regular medications, I would suggest you to immediately go on for a new set of investigation for the same.
Having chronic Uncontrolled hypertension,
Diabetes and dyslipidemia can pose signignifact long term complication, starting from the heart (Ishecmic heart disease), eyes (diabetic or hypersynsive retinopathy), Kidneys (chronic
kidney disease), brain (stroke) and even nervous system (peripheral vascular disease, autonomic neuropathies).

- Montior for any specific or new symptoms.
-While monitoring the blood pressure, if any time the BP reading is more then 160 or even more than 100, keep monitoring a BP every 15 to 30 mins.
If any time readings go more than 180 above or more than 120 below, immediately consult in a nearby clinic or hospital.
Also monitor blood
sugar levels before and two hour after food intake, any time the reading randomly too are more than 250 to 300mg/dl go for an immediate visit to hospital or clinic.
- Any time if there are any symptoms of:- Sudden headache, nausea or vomiting, fainting eiposde or dizziness, difficulting using arms legs, weakness felt or loss of sensation in the arms, legs or face, chest pain, it radiating to neck, Jaw, left arm and hand, significant heart burn, difficulty breating, significant indigestion, irregular heart beat, sweating, reduced urine output, swelling in feet, irrespective of the BP reading immediately consult a nearby clinic or hospital.
- Based on the recent investigations, appropriate treatment will be given, but the patient should also start with life style modification in term of change in diet by avoiding high carbohydrate, oily and high salt food. Go for hight fibre diet, food rich in complex carbohydrates, limited salt intake to less than 1 to 1.5 teaspoons per day.
Go for regular exercise even as walking for minimum 30 to 45 mins a day atleast 5 times a week.
