A BP reading of 150/90 mmHg in a 26-year-old is considered high (Stage 1 Hypertension) — especially if it’s repeated on multiple occasions. Since he’s also experiencing chest pain, it’s good that an ECG has been done and is normal. However, further evaluation is needed to rule out underlying causes or risk factors. Advise: • Check BP 3 times on different days to confirm if consistently high • Reduce salt, oily food, and stress • Encourage regular exercise, sleep, and hydration

At 26 150/90 is slightly high B.p. He should cut salt in his diet, reduce weight if more and do regular physical exercise. He can do serum lipid profile,  kidney function tests and thyroid function tests. Share reports online.

Get regular bp recordings. Check for sleep / stress / salt / weight. Family history of hypertension.?? Multiple (min 3) bp values of 140/90 mmhg or more over period of few days to weeks needed to diagnose hypertension. Needs basic evaluation and treatment
Next Steps
If bp is near or higher than 160/100mmhg then  diagnostic criteria is different.
Health Tips
Kindly tell him to follow DASH diet, good sleep, avoid stress and decrease weight if on higher side according to BMI.
