High bp in drunk father
Hello, my father drinks regularly. He is also high BP patient which is well controlled with medicine. Once he starts drinking, then he drinks for a whole week. During this time he stopped taking medicine. Today he said he's not feeling well. So I checked his BP. It was 150/112 on omron.. I gave him the medicine. I want to know. Is this safe and will the medicine help to lower his BP? He says he has no chest pain or other concerning symptom.

Hi dear He should be taking the medicine regularly. Having it once in a while won't be of any use as it will decrease the bp only for short duration. Also this much high pressure is not good for health and he is at risk of getting heart attack or paralysis attack So kindly consult in order for me to guide u better with further management Take care
