Hello, In hypothyroidism, a high TSH with normal T3/T4 is called subclinical hypothyroidism. The usual starting dose of Thyronorm (levothyroxine) in adults is 50–75 mcg daily, depending on weight, age, and overall health. Since your doctor prescribed 75 mcg, it is within the correct range for an adult male with high TSH. Remember, the dose is not final – it has to be reassessed after 6–8 weeks with repeat thyroid tests. Advice: Take Thyronorm in the morning, empty stomach, with water. Avoid tea/coffee/milk for at least 30–45 minutes after the tablet. Do not miss doses or change dose on your own. Please share your exact TSH value and weight for a more tailored guidance. 📞 For further queries, you can reach me at eight five two seven one six four six seven seven. Best regards, Dr. Romain Rajan General Physician

It depends upon the tsh value... Some start at 50 mcg some at 75 mcg... It varies according to the rise of tsh... So don't worry...the doctor prescribed u will be the correct dose.. Don't skip the tablet... Eat as soon as u wake up ... U can consume water only...before the tablet ...no tea or other foods before taking the tablet..
Next Steps
eat the tablet regularly.. follow up is must atleast 3 months once  initially..for dose correction.. then try to do some exercise...like walking or situps .. if work doesn't permit, then atleast don't sleep immediately after food intake... drink a glass of hot water at night..
Health Tips
u will recover soon...no worry

It's a case of subclinical hypothyroidism. Most important are symptoms. Then we need to get free t3 t4 TSH. And anti TPO antibodies to know if that requires life long treatment. I hope you are not on any medication. If TSH is raised we can start thyroid supplement

High TSH with normal T3 and T4 usually indicates subclinical hypothyroidism. The decision to start Thyronorm (levothyroxine) and the dose depends on factors like age, symptoms, heart health, and other medical conditions.
Next Steps
A starting dose of 75 mcg may be appropriate in some cases, but usually doctors start lower (like 25–50 mcg) and adjust based on follow-up TSH levels.
Health Tips
It’s important to follow up with your doctor regularly for dose adjustments and monitoring.

Trust the opinion of your practitioner Extremely high levels of some hormones doesn't require extreme large doses of drug.
Next Steps
If you feel uneasy or your symptoms are not relieved even after taking medication, do consult your doctor regarding the dose modification. At any step, if you feel your symptoms are worsening and you feel weak consider emergency medical attention
Health Tips
Avoid any homeopathic/ayurvedic forms of medicine claiming to reverse your hormones levels.

Different levels of TSH warrant different doses and it also depends on your previous values and if it’s a newly diagnosed hypothyroidism. Since you haven’t mentioned the actual values it is difficult to ascertain whether this dose is sufficient. Suggest you to continue the medicine for 6 weeks and then recheck the value. You can consult any time you have doubts.
Health Tips
Always take the tablet as soon as you wake up with a glass of water. Do not consume anything for 30 minutes after taking the medicine. Do not lie down after taking the medicine for at least 1 hour. In case you start having palpitations consult a physician immediately.
