It depends upon the tsh value... Some start at 50 mcg some at 75 mcg... It varies according to the rise of tsh... So don't worry...the doctor prescribed u will be the correct dose.. Don't skip the tablet... Eat as soon as u wake up ... U can consume water only...before the tablet ...no tea or other foods before taking the tablet..

This is a case of SUBCLINICAL HYPOTHYROIDISM, generally medications are not started, if there is no symptoms . You should see another doctor. THYROXINE is only started on low FREE T3, T4,IF NO SYMPTOMS ARE THERE.
