Best oil for cholestrol patient

My father has cholestrol and recently underwent bypass surgery. Please suggest the best oil for cooking apart from coconut and sunflower oil going forward.

You can use combination of 2 oils for eg - rice bran oil and groundnut or any other 2 combination can b used. Avoid giving butter and cream Also try to take only 10-15 gm of oils in entire day.

Hi No vegetable oil has Cholesterol. Try to avoid saturated fats like ghee, butter, coconut, margarine and refined oil. Use cold pressed filtered oil like mustard oil, olive oil, til oil but not more than 15 g per day. Give him fresh vegetables juice like Bottle guard juice, carrot juice and Ash guard juice, amla juice etc. Take care

Mustard and sesame, seed based oil but it should be non refined. But limit it 10 gm per day .

For Cholestrol you should take less oil for cooking. You can have any vegetable oil like olive oil, sunflower oil, ground nut oil for cooking but it's always better to use use raw extra virgin olive oil or raw extra in coconut oil for garnishing of the food. For better cholesterol management. Avoid taking deep fried food, ghee, butter, vanaspati, mayonnaise, palm oil etc

Avoid saturated fats like ghee ,butter, coconut oil and refined oil . Avoid all processed food and bakery products. Combination of oil is very imp to reduce the cholesterol.

Other than refined oil any double filtered oil will be fine. The total consumption of visible oil should be not more than 2 to 3 teaspoon in a day. You can also use olive oil or ghee.
