Hi, I am sorry you had to go through this. I wonder how you’re doing now given That I am only replying to you after three weeks of you posting this. Anxiety is the body’s way of telling you that there is fear. Anxiety interferes with sleep because the nervous system needs to shut down and relax for someone to be in deep sleep but with the fear in the system the nervous system is not able to relax because of which you’re not able to sleep. Depression is the body’s way to say that there is loss and there is something gone from the system. People feel numb, purposeless and low during depression. All these losses and fears need to be opened up in safe space in therapy so that they can be released from your nervous system. Once released you will feel a sense of relief and you will feel more peaceful in general and your sleep cycle will also get back to normal. You’re brave, rest!
