Alcoholic Allergy
Hello Sir/Madam,
I am suffering with allergy to alcohol past 1 year, symptoms are that I get red rashes on my face(Flush), high heart beat like 120 - 140 beats per min, burning sensation around ears, face and nausea during a small intake of alcohol. I consulted 2nd doctor, general physician doctor a few days before as previously i was checking with a cardiologist and got advised to consult this 2nd doctor after verifying my latest reports are normal w.r.to ecg, ekho, ultra sound, blood profile, kidney profile, thyroid, liver all of these are normal. Then the 2nd doctor advised me as this is a case of allergy and gave Nucort M8 tablet (Methylprednisolone (8mg) Dispersible tablet), advised to use this during such conditions.
I got this tablet after eating, 1 hour before alcohol consumption. 8 times it was fine i got no issues but for the last 2 times i see i am getting all the above issues even after tablet, please help with the right kind of tablets, tests, any allergist/immunologist.

If you have allergy to alcohol then the only treatment is to avoid alcohol 100%
No other treatment will work and taking steroids for longer period will weaken your immune system and you will be prone to multiple infections.
