Query -
Platelet first increased then decreasing, WHY ?
When will platelets show an upward trend ?

I have seen dengue patients with 10k platelets and completely stable required no intervention.
Since given age and some malignancy history, needed supervision which was good step for hospitalization.
Normal life span of platelets is about seven days that decreases in any infection or stress. It will get back to normal eventually (about 3 to 4 weeks depends) nothing to worry.
Just make sure to pay attention if he develops red flag symptoms like new abdominal pain, change in stool color or body rash, else he is on way to recovery.

Now you have given the proper history. It will take a lot of time for bone marrow to produce platelets, and for the platelets to come to original level.
Nothing to worry about, had it been lesser, the wud have been a reason to worry.

its slow response due to various factor..but your recent trend show increasing platlet.
take vitamin c,zinc,folic acid,b12 vit d supplements.
and keep your body hydrated by plenty of fluids.
