ACL on right knee
Hi Doctor, Two days back I felt down while playing badminton, due to which I had severe pain on my right knee when consulted a orthopaedic doctor he has suggested me to take MRI scan as my exray report was clear. In MRI report it was mentioned that complete tear of fibre in ACL. Hence Doctor is suggesting me to go for surgery , I'm bit concerned about undergoing surgery as I'm bit afraid that I will not be able to recover 100% and resume back to my normal routine of activities. Kindly suggest if it's compulsory for surgery or is it cureable through any other means of treatment. Kindly advice. Thanks, Deepak.B

Surgery is the only option in case of complete rupture. After that 3months of Vigorous Physiotherapy is important to get back to work & resume your normal routine activities and for strength +co-ordination +balance +range of the joint.
