Acl complete tear..
Sir i am chandra shekar, 3 years ago i fell down and after Mri scaning it showned me that i have a complete acl tear.. I continuing with physiotherapy frm them.. Sometimes i feel instability in my knee. And i got a police departmental job now, i have to do a hard police training for 9 months with a 6km run per day. I consult a physiotherapist and he said that u can do running by doing proper physiotherapy to your leg. Then what i have to do now ? If i go for training that means 6km per day for 9 months, then sill it be dangerous to my leg ? If i go for surgery how long it will take to recover completely and do my police training ?

You will have to go for repeat MRI to know exact problem with your knee. If it shows complete tear then probably it is a good idea to go for ACL reconstruction surgery. It will take couple of months to recover fully and to do your job. Recovery period will depend upon the expertise of orthopaedic surgeon and the protocol they follow for their procedure.
