Acidic reaction in routine stool
My routine stool examination returned mostly normal results except for 'acidic' under reaction where the standard value is given as alkaline. What herbs/formulations can I take to remedy this? I'm already taking ppi and sucral for GERD heartburn, which has been there for a couple of days now.

So...your acid is more but it's diluted due to which indigestion is happening. This improper digested food is creating heartburn and gerd. Now you're taking antacids which will resolve heartburn temporarily but will increase more indigestion and eventually with time this condition may increase.

An acidic stool pH may indicate an imbalance in digestion or excess acidity in the stomach. To balance this, try these Ayurvedic remedies: Herbs/Formulations: Amla (1 tsp daily) – To balance acidity and promote digestion. Guduchi (1 tsp twice daily) – For overall digestive support. Triphala Churna (1 tsp at night) – To maintain digestive health and regularize stool pH. Liquorice (1/2 tsp) – To soothe the stomach lining and reduce acidity. Diet: Avoid spicy, acidic, and fried foods. Include cooling foods like coconut, cucumber, and sweet fruits.
Next Steps
Since you're already on PPI and Sucral for GERD, consult your doctor before adding these herbs to avoid interactions.
