GERD and TMJ are not related directly. However, both  may be related to lifestyle and stress. Inducing measures to ease out your day may help in both situations. Regards.
Next Steps
-Seek a general physician's opinion for reducing acid reflux and stress,if any. - Rather than medicines, hot fomentation of the jaw area will help without side effects.
Health Tips
Remember that many pain relievers themselves cause hyperacidity. Hence take them to relieve your jaw pain with medical supervision.
