Montelukast aur levocetirizine generally ARR (aldosterone-renin ratio) ko significantly affect nahi karte, isliye sirf allergy ki wajah se inhe apne aap band karne ki zarurat nahi hai. ARR par BP ki kuch medicines ka zyada effect hota hai, isi wajah se endocrinologist ne medicines change ki hongi.
Next Steps
Aap apne endocrinologist ko allergy ki medicines ke baare mein test se pehle inform kar dein. Jo antihypertensive medicines unhone temporarily change/stop karne ko kaha hai, unki instructions exactly follow karein. Koi BP medicine khud se stop na karein.

Montelukast and levocetirizine do not interfere with the aldosterone-renin ratio, so you can continue them for your allergy without worrying about the test. What actually matters for ARR is your blood pressure medicines - drugs like spironolactone, beta blockers, ACE inhibitors/ARBs and diuretics can distort the result, which is probably why your endocrinologist changed them before the test. Also avoid excess liquorice and keep your salt intake normal, and get the sample drawn mid-morning after sitting upright for a while.
Next Steps
Continue the antihistamine as needed, and take only the BP medicines your endocrinologist has now advised - do not restart the old ones on your own. Just message or call his clinic once to confirm the allergy tablets, and inform him if your potassium is low or your BP shoots up before the test date.

Hi, Montelukast Sodium and Levocetirizine (allergy/antihistamine medicines) generally do not interfere with the ARR (Aldosterone-Renin Ratio) test. It's mainly certain BP medicines (like beta-blockers, ACE inhibitors, ARBs, and especially spironolactone) that need to be stopped before this test, not allergy medicines.
Next Steps
Please still inform your endocrinologist about these two medicines before your test, since exact protocols can vary slightly between labs/doctors. You can message or call their clinic to confirm rather than waiting for your next visit, so there's no delay or repeat testing needed.
Health Tips
Don't stop any of your prescribed BP medications on your own before the test — only stop/adjust medicines if your doctor specifically tells you to.

Montelukast + levocetirizine usually do not significantly affect ARR testing, but some antihypertensive medicines can alter the results. Do not stop BP medicines without your doctor’s advice.
