Your friend most likely has an allergic problem (nasobronchial allergy), which explains the repeated sneezing and night-time cough. Usually, such problems improve with anti-allergy medicines (antihistamines) and by avoiding triggers like dust, smoke, or strong smells.
If symptoms continue even after treatment, it is important to do a lung function test (spirometry) to check if he has bronchial asthma.
Allergy itself usually does not cause true fever. Sometimes patients may feel warmth or slight rise in temperature, but persistent fever is not typical. Since she has now developed fever, it is better to get her re-evaluated by a doctor to rule out infection (like sinus infection, bronchitis, or rarely tuberculosis).
Basic tests like blood tests and chest X-ray may be needed if the fever continues
Need detailed history about
1. Is there any similar episodes in past..
2. Cough with sputum or just dry cough.
3.previous history of fever.
4.any lymphadenopathy ( means pain over neck ,jaw, armpit or between thighs)
5.sputum colour ( white ,yellow ,green)
6.throat pain
7.evening rise of temperature
If any 4-5 symptoms fit ,then.
Blood evaluation - CBC ,ESR, URINE ANALYSIS,SPUTUM CULTURE.
IF NOTHING FITS ,
then it might be allergy ...
Then There will be a trigger ( something which initiates coughing or sneezing) like dust , sand particles, pollen, mites, insect bite, whatsoever..
Next Steps
history needed... treatment differs entirely according to history...

It's allergic rhinitis in first instant.
Tab montek lc one at night till required.
Ambrodil s syr5 ml twice n 10 ml at night
Zerodol sp three times after food for 3to5 days.
Azee500 one per day after food for 3to5.
You should do chest xray , sputum AFB to rule tuberculosis first since india is an endemic for tuberculosis. If tuberculosis is ruled out check cbc with absolute eosinophil count for allergic rhinitis.for ruling out asthma you can do pulmonary function test .
Hello,
Frequent sneezing (especially in the morning) along with night-time cough for the past 2 months is most commonly suggestive of an allergic condition (allergic rhinitis with associated airway irritation). These symptoms are usually not contagious.
However, since your friend has now developed fever, it is important to rule out other possibilities such as a chest infection, sinus infection, or rarely conditions like asthma or tuberculosis (though TB typically presents with persistent cough, weight loss, and night sweats).
What should be done:
Consult a general physician / chest specialist for examination.
Basic tests like CBC, chest X-ray, and sputum (if cough with phlegm) may be advised.
Allergic causes can be managed with antihistamines, nasal sprays, and avoidance of triggers.
If infection is present, treatment will be tailored accordingly.
â ï¸ It does not look like a serious contagious illness in most cases, but evaluation is necessary since fever has appeared now.

Okay, it would give better clarity, if you would mention if the cough had blood stains or not , or is it just dry cough, or a productive cough!!
If blood staained: immediately consult to rule out TB and other causes
If productive and mucoid: take Cough syp, having combination of salbutamol, bromhexine, ambroxol
If dry cough, then take: benadryl
Majorly the case is of Allergic rhinitis
So for sneezing and runny nose Take Montec LC tablets before sleep daily for 5 days
Next Steps
Allergen can vary from person to person maybe a dust or pollen or it could be anything. So better use face masks when going out
It is probably allergic rhinitis. If yes, then not contagious.
But any cough occurring more than 2 weeks should be tested for TB.
