Hello, I am 21+ week pregnant with ivf . At 16+ week I went through emergency cervix cerclage with 2.2 cm length with bleeding . After 15 days review in fetal well being scan ie 17+ week my length 3.5 cm. Today I went through anamoly scan ie 21+ week my length is 2.8cm now with good scan reports. Post cerclage only my doctor told me to take complete bed rest n I did it so. But I thought in today's scan also my cervix length will be same as in previous scan ie 3.5 cm but it is 2.8cm now. Should I take complete bed rest based on that ? N one more thing will cervix length may decrease in next scan ie on 20th July ? What's ur opinion is tr any possibility of preterm ? For that sake only doctor told me bedrest n said tr may b / may not b possibility of preterm. Pls suggest ur opinion ? Thanku

Success of cervical circlage through vagina is lower then laparoscopic circlage as they are placed at a level up from internal cervical opening so if you found cervical length decreasing you can go for laparoscopic circlage which will work for।future pregnancy also and sure shot treatment of incompetent os

Yes cervical length changes - decreases as pregnancy advances and baby grows .
Take bed rest , progesterone supports & avoiding straining, heavy activities ,constipation.
There is possiblty of preterm delivery, but no need to worry regarding that at present, take proper precautions as advised.
U are already done with scan. Take proper rest. Wait for next scan result. Continue with medicines prescribed by doctor. This is what u can do from your side. And hope for the best
