If yes then digestion issues are surely going to appear
Cause maybe geriatric problem due to cholecystectomy
Next Steps
First u need to answer this, until then case taking is half done only how can we give consultation without proper case taking y
In both modern medicine and Ayurveda, this is closely linked to Post-Cholecystectomy Syndrome (PCS) or an altered state of Amlapitta (acid-bile reflux).Because you had a gallbladder removal surgery 13 years ago, your body no longer has a storage tank for bile. Instead, bile drips continuously from your liver into your small intestine. This altered plumbing frequently causes a backward flow of alkaline bile into the stomach, irritating its lining and mimicking hyperacidity. So it is a very common symptom that usually people face after this surgery.
Next Steps
Basically the history provided by you is incomplete you can consult online so that I can help you with this problem but for the time being you can add these medicines like Kamdudha Rasa, Yashtimadhu Churna and
Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala Avipathi Choornam.
Moreover you can eliminate this by doing these things on regular basis-
Eat Small, Frequent Meals
Sip Fennel or Coriander Water
Heavily spiced foods, deep-fried items, carbonated drinks, and sour curd can violently aggravate Pitta.
Health Tips
If you have any other symptoms like jaundice , fever , any pain that is moving to some other areas as well and check the color of the stool (poop) dark, red or any other color consult a doctor physically and visit the hospital asap.
Your grandmother's symptoms of upper abdominal pain and heartburn occurring years after gallbladder surgery can be frustrating, especially when multiple investigations such as endoscopy, abdominal ultrasound, and CT scan have not revealed a significant abnormality. However, it is important to understand that persistent digestive symptoms can sometimes occur even when major structural diseases have been ruled out.
Since the symptoms have been present for more than one year, it would not be appropriate or safe to recommend a specific medicine without understanding the complete clinical picture, including the exact location of pain, relation to meals, bowel habits, appetite, sleep, dietary triggers, and previous treatment responses. In Ayurveda, treatment is individualized and based on the patient's constitution, digestive status, and overall health rather than prescribing the same remedy for everyone with similar symptoms.
Next Steps
Since she has already undergone extensive investigations with largely reassuring reports, it would be helpful to carefully review her symptom pattern. Note whether the pain is related to specific foods, meal timings, fasting, lying down after meals, or emotional stress. Encourage her to eat smaller, more frequent meals rather than large meals and avoid lying down immediately after eating. As the symptoms have persisted despite trying various remedies, a detailed Ayurvedic consultation would be more beneficial than repeatedly changing medicines on your own. A proper assessment can help identify the root cause and determine the most suitable treatment approach. Health Tips
Encourage her to eat slowly, chew food thoroughly, and maintain regular meal timings. Avoid excessively spicy, oily, fried, and heavy meals if they aggravate symptoms. Staying upright for at least 2â3 hours after meals, maintaining adequate hydration, and taking gentle walks after eating may also help. Since her investigations are reassuring, focus on long-term digestive health, dietary discipline, and individualized treatment rather than expecting a single medicine to provide a permanent cure. Consistent lifestyle and dietary measures often play a crucial role in managing chronic upper abdominal discomfort and heartburn. Thank you

Since your grandmother has had persistent upper abdominal pain and heartburn despite normal endoscopy, ultrasound and CT scan, it is important to identify the exact cause before starting any new Ayurvedic medicine. There is no single medicine that can guarantee a complete cure, and self-medication may delay appropriate treatment. Ayurveda can help, but treatment should be individualized based on her symptoms, digestion and overall health. Please consult me with her reports and current symptoms so I can guide a safe and appropriate treatment plan.
