Clean the wound and apply antiseptic on it. Keep changing the dressing. No need to take TT injection. Take care.

Receiving one TT injection within the last year does not necessarily mean he has completed the primary vaccination series. Confirm whether he received at least 3 appropriately spaced tetanus-containing vaccine doses.
Next Steps
Wash the cuts thoroughly with clean running water or saline and remove visible dirt. Examine the wounds for depth, foreign bodies, ongoing bleeding and possible fractures. Because he is 63 and diabetic, arrange prompt clinical assessment, especially if the wounds are deep or contaminated.

Since he received a tetanus toxoid (TT) dose within the past year, an immediate booster is generally not required for clean, superficial wounds, provided his primary immunization series is complete. However, given his age and diabetic status, wound care must be prioritized—clean the abrasions thoroughly with running water or saline, apply an antiseptic, and keep them dressed to prevent secondary bacterial infection. Please have him evaluated in person by a clinician to verify wound depth, ensure adequate glycemic control, and monitor closely for any signs of infection such as increasing redness, warmth, swelling, or delayed healing.

Since he had a tetanus shot within the past year, another booster isn't needed for this fall. The wound care and infection risk matter more here, especially since he is diabetic.
Next Steps
Clean both cuts well with soap and water, keep them covered, and watch for redness, warmth or more pain over the next few days. Healing can be a little slower with diabetes, so extra hygiene care helps.
Health Tips
Please see a general physician promptly if the cuts aren't healing within a few days, or if he develops fever, since that can point to infection.
