99 is not high grade fever, No need to take any Medicine. If you have Body aches then you can take it.

Generally start taking medication after 99.5°F temperature and below that if there is bodyache and weakness you can start with Lowest dose If not relieved with that or relapse is there within 4-6 hours you can start with Higher dose but before that I suggest you to elaborate all the symptoms associated with fever
