I understand your concern about your daughter’s sugar level. A reading of 95 mg/dl taken about 3 hours after a meal is completely normal for a child. In healthy children, blood sugar levels typically range from 70 to 140 mg/dL, depending on when they last ate. Since her value is well within this range, there’s no need to worry. You don’t need to test her sugar regularly unless she has symptoms like excessive thirst, frequent urination, unexplained weight loss, or unusual tiredness. Just make sure she eats balanced meals, stays active, and drinks enough water. If you ever notice persistent symptoms suggestive of diabetes, then a formal lab test (fasting and HbA1c) can be done. If you wish, you can book an online consultation with me on Practo, and we can discuss her growth and nutrition in detail.
