7 weeks pregnant and fever cold cough
Hello doctor, Kindly help I'm 7 weeks pregnant, but having a sudden cold cough and fever since afternoon. I got this from my son 5 yrs old as i took care of him recently when he had cold cough and fever. Is Augmentin 625 safe to be taken now. My cough and cold usally do not resolve without antibiotics. Kindly help if Augmentin is safe to use or not. Thanks a lot

Please record your temperature 6 hourly for one day, get a CBC and urine routine examination done and consult with a Gynaecologist in your area

Tab augmentin is safe in pregnancy But, it's better u consult a general physician for cough and fever for further management

Mam Generally we advise to avoid any medicine specially in 1st trimester. Try warm saline gargles and steam inhalation and some anti histamine and if these don't help them Antibiotics only after consultation. YES Amoxicillin is safe in pregnancy.
