If tooth decay is extensive then you may need RCT followed by cap. Yes, caping can be done if tooth is very much decayed and can't withstand masticatory forces. Until permanent tooth erupts they will protect milk tooth. Still have queries then please consult with doctor online or offline for better guidance and treatment options.

Cap. After RCT tooth becomes brittle and to preserve the strength, especially in milk teeth, cap is recommended.
