I don't get sleep at night even after trying hard to keep myself away from phone and tv. If try to sleep, it almost takes 3-4 hours to go to a deep sleep.

You are not getting sleep because your mind  is preoccupied with thoughts.Try to calm yourself ,try to avoid electronic gadgets atleast 2 hours before going to bed.Finish your dinner 2 hours prior to bed. Try to do any physical activity which tires you during daytime. Before going to bed ,take bath and sleep. I believe in first correcting in lifestyle rather than medicines  If you are still thinking to take medication ,you can consult me online

Hello, Set an alarm for yourself half an hour or hour before you plan to sleep and try some stretching exercises. It will help your body relax. Also have your dinner almost 2 to 3 hours before sleep, have a glass of warm milk (if you like it with or without sugar) post dinner.

It may be due to stress or daily habits or may be due to hormonal disturbances It can be treated with ayurveda U can continue with Cap. Ashwagandha  1cap twice a day with Luke warm milk As it has a property to reduce stress level .... Other than this I want proper history from you So u can consult me.....

*निद्रानाश के कारन* :- नावनं लंघनं चिंता व्यायामः शोकभीरुषः ।। एभिरेव भवेन्निद्रानाश श्लेष्मातिसंक्षयात् ।। नस्य(नाक में तिक्ष्ण औषधि तेल आदि डालना), लंघन(उपवास) करना, चिंता ज्यादा करना, व्यायाम के अधिक्यसे, शोक, डर, गुस्सा आदी मानसिक वेगोंके अतियोग से निद्रानाश होता है, शरीर में कफ का क्षय होनेसे निद्रानाश निद्राल्पता होती है. *अकाल निद्रा रोगकारक*:- अकालशायनान्मोहज्वरस्तैमित्यपिनसाः।। शिरोरुकशोफहृल्लास्रोतोरोधाग्निमंदताः ।।(वा.सु. ८/६०) अकाल सोने से मूर्छा(चक्कर), ताप(बुखार), शरीर में गिलापन महसूस होना, पीनस(सर्दी), सिरदर्द, सूजन, मुह में पानी आना, शरीर में अवरोध निर्माण होना, भूक मंद होना ऐसी तकलीफ उत्पन्न होती है. *निद्रानाश के लिए कुछ उपाय* महीषिक्षिरं स्वप्नजननानामं । (च.सु.) कफ क्षीण हुआ है ऐसे व्यक्तियों में भैंस का दुध कफवर्धन करके निद्रानाश कम करने वाला होता है. अन्य कफवर्धक पदार्थोंका उपयोग भी निद्रानाश के लिए होता है, उसका योग्य वैद्यकीय सलाह से उपयोग करें. *बाह्योपचार* :- नित्य तेल से अभ्यंग करना, उद्वर्तन, स्नान आदि का योग्य सलाह से उपयोग किया जाय तो निद्रानाश में उपयोग होगा. *मन के लिए उपाय*:- प्राणायाम, अनुलोम विलोम इन अष्टांग योग का उपयोग यम नियम का पालन मनके आरोग्य के लिए कर सकते है. शिरोधारा, घी का नस्य, तर्पण, मन पे काम करनेवाली औषधियों का उपयोग आदि उपक्रमों का मनोदुष्टिजन्य निद्रानाश में किया जा सकता है.
