After 1989 the Hospital was temporarily closed following the demise of Dr. U. Mohan Rau. It was entirely rebuilt in the same premises completely modernized in 1995 and considerably expanded as "Dr. U. Mohan Rau Memorial Hospital". Strategically located in the heart of Chennai, it is easily accessible from all parts of Chennai. **** ****** ** *** * ****** * ******** I had done a gynaecomastia surgery way back in his hospital in Chennai. I remember after surgery I was kind of literally thrown on to the stretcher to transfer me to another room. The bad part is after a month of surgery I found my right chest is still not done properly.
