A few weeks ago, I noticed my 6-year-old grandson who is mildly autistic kept pointing to his teeth. As a grandparent, I was deeply worried because he cannot always express his pain clearly. Watching him uncomfortable broke my heart. I was not sure how we were going to handle a dental problem, especially since he finds new environments and people overwhelming.

Before performing any procedure, she carefully explained every step in simple, reassuring words not just to me, but in a way my grandson could sense her kindness and safety. She told us exactly what she was going to do and what to expect, and that confidence and honesty meant the world to us.

When she finally treated his decayed tooth, she did it with such gentleness, care, and expertise that I was in awe. My grandson, who usually resists any medical touch, sat through it because he felt safe with her. The procedure went smoothly, and within an hour he was smiling again pain free and happy.

I cannot thank Dr. Pavani and her wonderful staff enough for their compassion and professionalism. For parents or grandparents of children with special needs, finding someone who truly understands and connects with your child is a blessing and that’s exactly what Dr. Pavani is, a true blessing to children and their families.
