Getting your teeth done cab be quite painful after almost over 2 years of having braces. You don’t want anything to do with dentists by then, ans you just want it off. Not only did Dr. Hussein spot the errors in my teeth alignment setting from my last session in Bombay, but he also committed timelines for closing milestones and a final day for de-bonding too. Other dentists would have dragged on forever, but this Dr. knows how to balance that alongside patient expectations and goals.
In short, Dr Hussain is very reckless and rude. Perhaps once upon a time, he was good but not anymore.
1. I was told by Cosmodent head office to phone Mr Hussain for an appointment, which I did. Dr Hussain said he would ring back and book one for me. Four days passed but there was no return call.
2. Eventually I phoned the head office again and was given a call by his wife Dr Sameena. She was nice and warm and I explained I had many fillings to be done, a possible removal, a root canal and that I was in pain. I also explained to her that I wanted to discuss other options for a ' root canal'. I also said I would be bringing my husband along who needed around 8 tooth stubs removed, and dentures and thus we needed to make a treatment plan for him. I explained we would be travelling almost 360 kilometres - that's a total of 6 hours by car in a taxi which cost me Rs5000 - and that I would be returning to my home town the same day. She booked me an appointment for 4 days later.
Approx treatment Cost:
3 fillings= 3 x Rs5000 approx= 15,000
root canals= 1 x Rs8000 approx= 16000
My husbands extractions x 8= Rs40,000 approx
Dentures and implants up to Rs 1,50,000 approx
This is over Rs 2 lac treatment.
3. 4 days later I journeyed 3 hours for my appointment with Dr Hussain. When he arrived, there was no eye contact, no warm greeting, he was irritated, stressed and condescending. He took some kind of sadistic pleasure speaking to me in a humiliating and belligerent manner.
All because I had mentioned that I had had a bad experience with a root canal before which had caused an infection and that there were several US holistic dentists who were not in favour of root canals anymore.
Instead of hearing my concerns patiently, with an open mind and empathy, he was dismissive *** ***** ******* ***** **** * ***** I realized he had no basic etiquette and that I could not let such a reckless person govern my or my husband's treatment.
Therefore, I immediately left the examination room. His wife showed some care and concern and uttered something about how he was stressed and in a rush because of XYZ and wanted me to go to his office to discuss it. I took one glance at Dr Hussain and was struck by his "couldn't give a toss attitude'. I therefore decided to 'pass' - you can't teach grown adults 'respect and humanity'.
I waited over a week for an appointment that was agreed upon, travelled a total of 360 km there and back (6 hour journey) ready to spend Rs50,000 in one sitting and more in consequent sittings all for an arrogant brat to disrespect a woman of 54 and to treat me like some kind of cattle that he had no time, care or concern for.
I came back to my home town without any treatment because I could not get an immediate appointment elsewhere at such short notice. Plus Rs5000 wasted on a taxi, and 6 hours wasted on travelling ie the whole day. Imagine my anguish.
If you're looking for a mature and humane dentist Dr. Hussain is not the one. Not only are his prices exorbitant but he is also a reckless person.
There is a much better dentist just a stone's throw away called Clove Dentist - go there instead.
