I had been managing with discomfort until a dental infection flared up on a previously operated teeth and could no longer continue without treatment.

As a senior citizen i was on the lookout for a kind and understanding dentist who was completely trustworthy. My previous experiences with dentists had made me quite apprehensive in terms of their attitude and the treatment provided.

Friends who had recommended Dr.Shylesh Shetty had vouched for his treatment and the clinic. And now after my personal experience, I completely agree with that.

While the charges may have been higher than other dentist's, the solution and the peace of mind was well worth it.

Inspite of being treated by multiple dentists, this was the first time I felt completely at ease with a clear understanding of the issues and the solutions, thanks to his patience as well as the crisp explanations.

Treatments done: Endodontic treatment for infection, Root canal Treatment(including one within an existing crown without replacing it), cavity filling, Crown replacement and occlusal adjustment

Extremely professional staff, helpful and accommodating, making the experience smooth

1. Dr Shylesh had done a root canal procedure for me in 2014, it is still intact! Amazingly he had ready electronic reference of the earlier procedure with X-Rays!!

2. He spent time catching up with me and my road treks, also checked on the health of my In-Laws who also happen to be his patients

3. Very meticulously explained, with X-Rays and hand drawing, about my present issues and the way forward. He also answered all questions in details and to my entire satisfaction.

4. He made his colleague, Dr Pragya Pathak, to look into my case, check me out and explain to me her part of the procedure.

5. The next appointment was fixed on the spot.

6. The prescription was sent to me electronically and reached me before I reached home

The Clinic is indeed very appealing, well maintained, spacious and extremely hygienic too. It is a very nice appointed location. the Signage can be made more prominent.

I was truly delighted to go back to Dr Shylesh and his own new clinic called Excellence Dental

His surgery assistants appear to be personally trained to “EXCELLENCE “ by Dr Shetty with hygiene, safety & patient comfort ingrained in their actions. His other dental surgeon staff are also at close stand by throughout the surgery to learn and assist the acutely skilled surgeon Shetty. Didn’t feel the pain while anaesthesia was administered as also during the entire precision procedure . As pre surgical procedure the team prepared a special safety net to prevent disinfectant,miniature drill bits etc get dangerously into the gullet whist also ensuring that oral contamininents don’t get into the root canal. THIS WAS NOT FOLLOWED BY OTHER SURGICAL SPECIALISTS WHO PERFORMED RCTs on my other 3 root canal procedures I have already undergone earlier in Gujarat & Cochin (acclaimed dental hospitals). Cost effective world class treatment(excellence staff don’t over charge) which I got done at EXCELLENCE even though I had free medical coverage from famous defence affiliated hospitals. My crowning is scheduled for tomorrow and I am certain that will go off well. Kudos to dr Shylesh Shetty and his team.

"Rockstar" - That's the term I will use for Dr. Shylesh to treat his patient and also for building his efficient and expert team. What an experience it has been so far. I actually do not mind travelling from Yelahanka to Indiranagar for my treatment, because I am in safe and honest hands as compared to few clinics in Yelahanka where I was advised multiple RCT. But here, single RCT solved the case for me.

Best thing: Doctors here give you the time and proper explanation beore doing anything. A well defined modern + hygenic set up and you just can't ask for more. Process wise they have all the modern equipments which are non-existent in other clinic. A proper set with larger screen to show you the exact live case and proper explanation of the treatment.

Charges: Consultation charges might loo higher but trust me it's not that. It includes any x-ray and basic investigations which otherwise are chargeable in other clinics.

Both me and my wife are taking the treatment, and the experience has been top notch. You are in safe hands once you land at "Excellence Dental".

By God's grace I am able to find Dr. Shylesh sir for Root canal treatment. Sir finished my treatment in a single sitting. I am really happy with sir's work and patience with each patients.Thanks a lot sir. I am happy with the mam too who is working in reception. Whenever I called,mam answered me politely all time. I am happy with one more mam too who helped sir during treatment. Clinic is 200 percent hygienic place. By God's grace I reached this clinic. Thanks a lot Dr. Shylesh sir. Thanks a lot sir. Dr. Pragya explained the issue to me clearly. One simple procedure stopped the bleeding in my gums immediately. She was very gentle and patient throughout the procedure, and also very considerate of my other health issues.

The best part about the clinic was - I was the only patient in my time slot. So i didn't have to worry about a crowd. Proper precautionary measures were taken for covid. They provide gloves, as well as a cover for the shoes and hair to every patient. This was my first visit, but I felt safe and at ease to go to the clinic. Highly recommended!

I have been addressing any of my family's dental issue at this place during past many years and do not have single point to mention in negative. Very well maintained clinic.

Dr.Pragya is so friendly and caring that you feel very relaxed during any complicated issues you face. This young and talented doctor makes you feel confident whole through the treatment.

Am extremely happy about this place and the doctors' approach be it Dr.Sailesh or Dr Pragya in treating the clients with dedication and care. Really a good place to overcome your dental issues. Yes, the cost of treatment is a bit on the higher side comparatively but it's definitely forfhe ones who attach more importance to quality of treatment in terms of accuracy and aim at end result.

Once you undergo treatment here, you will never look for another.

After having completed multiple procedures, I am overwhelmed to note that I’m completely satisfied with his superlative dental care ! I visited Excellence Dental assuming that I would only need a cavity filling. After Dr. Shylesh looked at my teeth I was told my molar needed to be extracted. A quick x-ray and I was all set for a tooth extraction. I was hesitant to get my molar removed - difficult to part ways for something that has been there for 25+ years but I had to go by Dr. Shylesh judgement.

I have always been petrified visiting a dental clinic, too much to handle when it comes to the drill, the forceps but this is where Dr. Pragya comes in. There was no waiting, Dr. Pragya took over, She explained the procedure and before I knew the molar was off. The whole process was smooth and didn't hurt at all.

- X ray is included in consultation charge.

- Diagnosis is through (Note that a couple of other dentists couldn’t even diagnose my hidden cavity).

- Place is super clean, they have instrumental music on.

- Equipments are futuristic as compared to other places. You won’t even have to do crunches to spit in between the procedure. They have a person on stand by with the suction pipe.

- My dentist was super nice, she explained all the treatment required. And actually

- Cavity was in between two teeth (premolars) even then she was able to fill it. (I don’t know how?) And yes, I am still able to floss, both the teeth are still separate, healthy, and firm.

Pleasant dentistry experience. Highly recommend!

There is also an ice cream place (Gelato) next to excellence. If you want to, after the procedure. It’s therapeutic.
